I love fashion as much as I love music, anytime that the two meet my heart clearly skips beats of joy. Every year I look forward to the Victoria's Secret Fashion show and although the lingerie is primarily for the runway, the show always brings amazing musical guests.
This year the execs from the show decided to have newlywed Katy Perry who has had a pretty successful year with the release of her sophomore CD Teenage Dream, accompanying Katy Perry was Akon who performed his new single Angel from his up-coming album titled Stadium.
But, before the angels graced their super skinny and toned bodies down the glittery runway we have to look into how lingerie and music (and fashion) often come hand in hand. During the telecast one can spot several celebrities be front and center for the show but the most notorious ones were Maroon 5’s front man Adam Levine who is currently dating VS Angel Anne Vyalitsyna, also in attendance was Caleb Followill from Kings Of Leon, who in September got engaged to another Angel Lily Aldridge. Another honorable mention is Debbie Harry (Blondie) who was spotted walking the pink carpet.
Katy Perry rocked the glittery runway with two pretty awesome performances; the first one was with the single called Firework which she is currently promoting. (I am not a great fan of hers anymore but I am utterly in love with this song.) She dazzled with a faboosh outfit designed by Todd Thomas. For her second performance (which was a mix of Teenage Dream, Hot & Cold and California Gurls.) She wore a yellow latex corset dress also designed by Todd Thomas.
Akon flirted with the angels while performing his new single appropriately titled Angel, during his (Heavenly Bodies segment) performance and it was during this segment that VS Angel Chanel walked down the runway with her desired pair of angel wings.
