The Sounds Invade San Francisco

Do you know where Helsinborg is located? Well, perhaps if you are a fan of the band The Sounds, then you know this is where the band was founded.
Swedish band The Sounds made a stop in San Francisco California as part of their North American tour. The place to be was the Warfield where the band had a very successful show. It was a night filled with infectious music and the participation of Foxy Shazam, Semi Precious Weapons & Shiny Toy Guns who came as supporting acts for The Sounds.
The band performed songs from their new CD titled Crossing The Rubicon, as well as hits from their sophomore album Dying to Say This To You. Lead singer Maja Ivarsson delighted the audience with her melodious voice as she kept a lighted cigarette handy. As she was going to perform songs from the sophomore disc she mentioned how much the band loves the Bay Area (the CD was recorded at Studio 880 in Oakland, California.)
It was during the performance of such hits as Ego, Queen of Apology & Tony The Beat that the crowd got the loudest, singing and dancing alongside each tune.
It is great to see a performer be as involved with the audience as Maja was on Saturday night.  She definitely knew how to keep the audience wanting more. Maja along with the rest of the band members gave one great show.
The Sounds will continue their tour with stops in Seattle, Portland & Salt Lake City, to then embark in another European tour that will take them to Amsterdam, Manchester, London, Madrid, among others.
